The one bit of lobbying I'll do: I think y'all overrated guys who play good team defense, particularly shot blockers. I picked three good iso scorers, 2 guys that can hit 4 pointers (though I don't think that's as big a part of the equation as some think; open buckets will be too easy to come by to offset a relatively low percentage shot like that). I don't think you can double anyone or stick a shot blocker in the paint without paying for it. Defense isn't great, but I don't think it would matter much. I'll just play man; I don't think anyone is at a physical disadvantage on D.

Dame might be the best 4 point shooter drafted other than Steph and is great and finding an efficient shot 1 on 1. Anthony Davis can do everything including protect the rim, score around the rim especially with the added space, stretch the floor, and cover the extra ground created by the 3 on 3 format on defense with his length and mobility. Millsap is a do it all 3rd option who can defend, shoot from three, and rebound. Batum gives me a 2nd primary ballhandler who can run the offense when Dame needs a breather and cover space defensively.

I have one of the best perimeter defenders in Iggy, who also can handle the ball when needed and would have an amazing pick and roll with DeAndre. Klay Thompson, one of the best heat check players in the league and would probably be one of the best 4 point shooters there could be. DeAndre is a mobile big who can protect the paint and get rebounds. And if a team wants to play small, put in Korver who is still one of the best 3 point shooters in NBA history and was known with the Hawks for solid off ball defense.

I got the most dictatorial motherfucker on and off the ball that wouldn't let anyone destroy him in this kind of world in Chris Paul. Derozan is a super athlete that can hang with anyone athletically and score. Jokic can get rebounds, pass better than just about anyone and shoots from all over the floor. Crowder can come off the bench and get in people's faces/also shoot quite well.

IT2 can score at will, including 3s and 4s. May struggle on D, but defensive strategy is to either pack the lane with Love and KAT or bring in Wiggins to guard bigger athletic guards.

Love was built for the old man, YMCA half court pick up game. He'll out rebound your entire team by grabbing your shorts and throwing the perfectly timed elbow without being caught. Plus he can nail a 3 or 4 and pull one of your bigs out of the paint.

My team is built on IT2 doing whatever he wants while your defense is pulled away from the basket, and daring everyone to shoot 3s while packing the lane.

Love Wall in the half court game, since he can be all over the place with his speed and is a solid floor general to facilitate the offense.

Turner is an athletic big that i believe should be a solid defender and rebounder, and with a .348 3 pt shooting this year, he can be called upon to shoot deep if needed.

Kemba's been getting better every season, with .400 shooting from 3 and .527 eFG%. He will be my go-to option from wall.

as a 4th man, booker is the type of guy to give the offense a jolt. Just give him a few minutes at a time, and let mini-kobe eat.

Strategy

Steph with a vertical stretcher/dominant rim threat is unstoppable. Blake/Livingston both have the passing ability to take advantage of that in the PnR similar to Draymond whilst providing more 1 on 1 scoring threat.

The Curry/Livingston/Whiteside lineup will be a machine because they each dominate one area of the court: Steph from long distance, Shaun the midrange and Whiteside the paint. It would be impossible for a defense to take away all three areas so they're either settling for Steph threes/fours (= death), Livingston open pull ups (he won't ever miss if the defense just lets him take those midrangers) or Whiteside dunks (death).

I don't think the four is going to be overrated. People said the same about the 3 point shot, that it was a gimmick etc. and were proven to be wrong. With Steph we'll exploit that from early giving us a significant advantage that no other squad has.

The Steph/Livingston/Blake lineup will allow Steph to play off ball some more, focusing on ball movement, which as shown by Serbia is an underrated aspect of 3 on 3 basketball, giving us another advantage over inefficient, iso heavy teams.

Giannis, Lowry, Kristaps, and & Otto Porter is an excellent defensive team, as well as having lots of shooting and athleticism. Happy with my team.

I think a lot of us have undervalued defense in this. PGs in general, of course with some exceptions, are going to have a rough go of it. You're going to basically have to play 1 on 1 with little rim protection behind you because even if you have a big, he likely can't just chill around the paint. 1 bad defender really kills you. Hell, I think it's so important I'll probably start Danny Green over McCollum.
