This is where you come to let WMD help you feel better about whatever friggin shenanigans the Lions just pulled.

Will Abdullah displace Riddick to be the change of pace back behind Joique? I guess I hope so.

So this isnt simply a football/draft site like that site most of you all came from. Why not use this to discuss all of our local teams?

It seems like everyone I talk to out and about thinks/wants Draymond Green here next season. But frankly I feel like it takes a max contract to bring him here. Would you guys want Draymond at 16-20 mil a year? Maybe Im wrong and hes cheaper, but I doubt it would be much cheaper.

Zach

Considering they will probably have to pay high on Monroe (unless he leaves), and max Drummond, I dont see them going too big for outside FA's.

nerv
06-06-2015, 03:02 PM
Monroe is gone. I dont think he wants to be here and I dont think SVG is very high on him.

Zach
06-06-2015, 03:50 PM
I thought I remember ESPN and all saying once Smoove left, Monroe and Drummond starting was kinda difficult on one end of the court, but solid on the other.

But also, Draymond being RFA is kinda bad bc Warriors will match anything tbh.

nerv
06-07-2015, 12:19 AM
Thats why I figured it would have to be a max contract to get him. I dont think they can afford to pay him that. Im not as high on him as some... but around here (Detroit Metro) people are clamoring for him non stop.

Max contract wont get him. Iggy will play his way to a team offering a playoff first for him next year and that opens up 12ish million. Trading Lee in his expiring year as well will open up a lot of money for him and Barnes sadly.

Pistons said they probably won't go after Draymond.

Zach

Pistons said they probably won't go after Draymond.

Because they dont want their money tied up for 72 hours, just to have the Warriors match. I mean, its smart because in 72 hours you could lose another FA.

nerv
06-07-2015, 02:22 AM
I dont really want him; but Im also bias. Certainly not for the max.

-Trade for Gallo
-Take Frank Kaminsky
-Roll with Jennings or Jackson/KCP/Gallo/Kaminsky/Dre
-THREES

nerv
06-08-2015, 12:13 AM
I cant decide if I love or hate Kaminsky. Really I think he just has to play next to Gobert.

nerv
06-17-2015, 02:27 AM
I like the Ilyasova pick up. He is a better option then what we reasonably could land in FA. I would really love to see the Pistons be aggressive and find a way to add Winslow to the mix as our SF. But Ersan seems to be a very solid fit next to Andre. Shame we wont get a single thing for/out of Monroe but whatever.

BMW should have been so much better. He really got fucked over the the Mo Clarett ruling and is an example of why you don't just sit out a year. Kinda figured it out in Seattle, but too little too late.

Chargers Mike Williams is easily the best of those 3, though.

TB Mike Williams was actually legit, but he had a peanut for a brain. Almost 1000 yards and 11 TDs as a rookie with Josh Freeman as your QB is impressive.

Clayton's career was so weird. Its not like his rookie year was him just getting force fed targets. 1,200 yards, 80 catches on 122 targets and 15 YPC. Then never over 500 yards again.

That guy was such a disaster. The Bills thought they were smart investing in an OL that high when bringing in Bledsoe. I remember everyone hating that pick at the time. Dude was never going to play LT. Meanwhile, Bryant McKinnie a few picks later when the Vikings forgot to pick and lost their draft position. The 2002 NFL Draft was something else. That's for sure. I think I have a copy of Madden 2002 laying around somewhere. I might have to relive that trash.

I think that year the Chiefs and Vikings both tried to trade up for Ryan Sims but the Chiefs got the pick. They took Sims after the clock ran out and then the Vikings took McKinnie with pick right after.

The year after is when the Vikings let their time run out and ended up with Kevin Williams.

What a franchise I devote my time and energy to.

Even weirder when you consider he had Brad Johnson (4), Chris Simms (2), and Brian Griese (10) throwing him the ball. The matrix was breaking or something that season I guesss.

Was Jahvid Best any good? My heart tells me he was, but his stats are poop.

Extremely fast but the relentless concussions and his struggles between the tackles hurt him. He'd have been a very good receiving weapon, sort of like a lightning fast James White, if he hadn't had the concussions.

Mike Williams his 1st year in Seattle was so good. He and Hasselbeck had chemistry, Hass would just throw the ball up and let him go get it. Then Seattle let Hass go and had Tarvaros Jackson take over. That fuck (rip) had no trust in his receivers and any time he felt pressure would panic and just take the sack, even on 4th down trying to come back under a minute to go.
